Although it was only a handful of West Coast dates, Girlschool's first U.S. shows in more than a decade were highly anticipated by their longtime American fans – some of whom traveled cross-country to see the seminal headbangers' triumphant kick-off at LA's Knitting Factory. Before the show, original guitarist Kelly Johnson strolled down Hollywood Blvd. deep in thought. She was later coaxed onstage to join her former bandmates for a rousing encore of "Take It All Away."
