The
Machines The Machines are a classic UK Punk, Rock 'n' Roll band formed by Nick Paul in 1977 in the amphetamine rush of Punk, split in '78 and then regenerated in 2006. The band all grew up listening to Iggy & The Stooges + The New York Dolls and find this aesthetic still informs their sound. The band released the incendiary 'True Life' EP in 1978 on Wax Records and appeared in the Alternative Chart as published in Sounds, after True Life received a favourable reaction after being played on the John Peel show. The EP was cited as one of the ‘100 Most Collectable Punk Records’ in Record Collector Issue 323, May 2006. Since the bands regeneration in 2006, with Nick Paul on Guitar on Vocals, Stephen 'Tash' Reddihough on Bass and Steve Pegrum (aka Steve Machine) on Drums, The Machines have played all over the country, and together with Engineer Barry Gardner recorded 10 new songs, all of which are included on their Angels in Exile release. Bubblegum Slut fanzine perhaps described the band best, as "Classic punk, served New York Style." For Detailed Profile on This Artist, Click Here |

The
Vampire Junkies Featuring Texas Terri The Vampire Junkies Featuring Texas Terri are a London, UK based Punk Rock 'n' Roll band. The line up is Texas Terri Laird - Vocals, Kevin de Groot - Guitar, Stephen 'Tash' Reddihough - Bass & Backing Vocals & Steve Pegrum aka Steve Machine – Drums. The band have quite a history of past associations and wanted to put together a new band that exemplified the best elements of artists they loved, such as Iggy Pop, Stiv Bators, New York Dolls, The Ramones, Social Distortion and many more, combined with their own sound and style to play new, fresh pure blitzkrieg rock 'n' roll. Steve Pegrum spoke to Texas Terri at a gig by Walter Lure (Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers) in London about singing, and the band set about recording the songs contained on their debut CD. Texas Terri hails from Austin, Texas and has often been compared with Iggy Pop, Lux Interior, Steven Tyler, Wendy O. Williams, Joan Jett and has Rock 'n' Roll running through her veins. She's worked with a variety of great artists, and her Texas Terri Bomb album ' Your Lips...' from 2004 was produced by Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, John Lennon, Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper, Patti Smith and many more) and featured guests Wayne Kramer (MC5), Cherie Currie (The Runaways) and Ryan Roxie (Alice Cooper). Most recently she played several shows in the UK and Europe with Brian James & Rat Scabies of The Damned under the name Scabies / James. She has also appeared in several films, including 'Prey For Rock 'n' Roll' starring Gina Gershon & Drea de Matteo. For Detailed Profile on This Artist, Click Here |
